Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream
This is the game I've been waiting for for like forever! I already loved playing Tomodachi Life on the 3DS back when I was a kid and now I am so happy it got a Switch release. If you're not familiar with Tomodachi Life, it's pretty simple. You create Miis and they get to live on an island. There you'll take care of them by feeding them, clothing them and helping them with their social interactions. Miis can become friends, have fights, fall in love, get married and even have Miis babiis (haha).
I really enjoy this kind of gameplay since it's super simple and also doesn't require you to play on for hours and hours. Some games like Animal Crossing or the newly release Pokopia (which I am on the verge of buying but I'm still fencesitting tbh) almost require you to play for multiple hours at a time to give you the feeling that you've achieved something. With Tomodachi Life, I check in about a few times a day. Once during my morning commute, once during lunch, once during my evening commute and once or twice during the evening. I really recommend this game, especially if you're a fan of similar games like Tamagotchis and Sims.
- Miis can now move in together without having to be married
- Miis can be dragged around the map and you can introduce them to eachother without having to wait for their input
- So many new Mii creator optionsi incl. tons of new hair
- Zero Censorship (Tho Nintendo doesn't allow Miishare and make sit hard to share screenshots)
- Non-Binary Gender Option and Romantic Interests added in Mii Creator
- Real Life relationships expanded, no more accidental incest lol
- Customizable treasures
Some cool new features that were added to the Switch release are the following:
- Not enough interactive Prezzies, the custom treasures are cool and all but they're looked at by the Miis and not actually functioal
- I have the feeling the Miis get along too well, maybe it's because it's the beginning but I want more drama that results in longterm consequences
- Sharing screenshots is more difficult and no Miishare on Switch
Some features that were lost and is kind of sad imo:
- Myself
- My Boyfriend
- Chester
- My Best Friends
- My other Best Friend
- My Brother
- My Mom
- My Aunt
- My Uncle
- Mr. and Mrs. Fish
- Mr. and Mrs. Gorilla
- Draculaura
Miis I've created thus far
